The Association's income is derived primarily from subscriptions and from a modest portfolio of investments. Additional voluntary support will help the Association to increase its income on a long term basis. "Legacies to registered charities such as the Association of Clinical Pathologists are free of inheritance tax. Your generosity will allow the Association to further its aims of promoting and encouraging the practice of clinical pathology. This is especially important at a time when there is major organizational change within the NHS, particularly in relation to the requirement for continuos quality improvement through the Clinical Governance framework". Dr M.R Haeney How to leave a legacy to the ACP You may make a specific gift of cash or other assets to the Association, or you may make a residuary legacy. This is a gift of the whole residue or a share of the residue of your estate when all other bequests have been made and all debts, taxes and expenses have been paid.
